William “Bill” – “Coach Bill” – Woolever, age 52, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 9, 2026.
Bill was born in Pensacola, Florida on December 15, 1973 to William and Gloria Woolever, second oldest of four children.
Bill was involved in many sports growing up. In elementary school, Bill joined the Sherwood Running Team in third grade, and continued through fifth grade. Bill, being very competitive and having a passion for sports gave him the opportunity to compete in many local and out of town events, along with his sister Ann.
Bill loved football and baseball. He played for local teams, such as Bellview and Brent Ballparks. Bill loved his sports.
Bill worked for Joe Patti’s at the age of fourteen, during the summer of his high school years.
He graduated from Pine Forest High School, and began a career in the vending business working for Buffalo Rock for several years. Then moving on, Bill made a career change and went to work for Sarah Lee, servicing local businesses. After several years of working with them, Bill bought his own route business through Sarah Lee, and continued being successful.
Bill was so loving and giving, with a heart of gold. Bill was strong in his faith and had a deep love for the Lord.
Bill’s son Isaiah was his world. He loved him to the moon and back.
Bill is survived by his loving son, Isaiah Jeremiah Woolever; his mother Gloria Marie Dean Woolever; siblings Iann Marie Lauter, Gloria Renee’ Woolever, and Joseph Robert Woolever; nieces Brooke Erin Lauter, Aislyn Grace Woolever, Jennifer Jekins, and April Strum; and nephews Bryce Austin Lauter and Greg Strum.
Bill’s best lifelong friends were Bobby, Matt, and Jeremy, who have always been supportive of Bill, and now his family, during this very difficult time.
A memorial service will be held at Marcus Point Baptist Church, 4205 North W St Pensacola, Florida 32505, on Tuesday, January 26, 2026, with visitation at 2:00PM, and service beginning at 3:00PM.
