Sheila Knotts Obituary

Sheila Pantricia Knotts, 62, of Pensacola, Florida, passed away on May 14, 2025.

Sheila was born to Nell Brye Smith; September 18, 1962.  Sheila was the fifth child and second oldest daughter born to Nell B.Smith of a family of eight children. 

She attended the Public School systems of Escambia County and graduated from Beggs High School. Shortly after, Sheila met and married the love of her life, Cenell Knotts December 22, 1987 and  under their union, they raised four children; 2 Sons; Dexter J. Knotts, Jarvis T. Knotts, and 2 Daughters Savasia L. Knotts, and Daughter Zabrina Hurst of Pensacola, Fl. 

 

Sheila was a loving, caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother Sister, Aunt and friend. She enjoyed doing puzzles, dancing, and family gatherings.  She often put her own desires aside to help the ones she loved until her untimely Stroke that left her unable to do so.  Regardless of her situation, she always found time to call and check in on her family, nieces, nephews and friends. Her presence is already missed. 

 

Preceding Sheila in passing, her Mother Nell Brye Smith, Father, JC Smith, Son, Dexter Knotts, Brother, Donald Q. Brye, Sr. Sister Debra Jones, Mother in law, Narcissus Knotts. She leaves behind 3 Brothers, Douglas Brye; Troy (Barbara) Moorer, Steven (Angela) Smith,  Two Sisters, Tracey Moorer and Andrea Smith all of Pensacola, Florida.  A host of Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
