With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather, Kevin Donell James Sr, who entered this world on April 18, 1974, in Sarasota, Florida, as a twin, and departed this life on January 11, 2026.
A proud student of Crestview High School (later got his GED), he was known for his strength and dedication as a standout football player, carrying the values of teamwork, perseverance, and discipline into every chapter of his life. He later served his country honorably in the United States Army, a commitment that reflected both his courage and his deep sense of duty.
Following his service, he endured more than ten years as a 100% disabled veteran, carrying wounds, seen and unseen, with quiet strength. Despite the challenges he faced, he remained devoted to those he loved and to the role he held most dear: being a father.
He leaves behind his six children, Alandra, Keviana, Kevin Jr., Keishaun, Kamrin, and Kaleb, who were the pride of his life, as well as his grandchildren, JaMir and Khloe, who brought him joy and purpose. He is also lovingly remembered as a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend, someone whose presence, loyalty, and heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
His life was one of resilience, sacrifice, and deep love. Though he faced many battles, he did so with strength, and his legacy lives on through the family he cherished and the lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
