Joseph Difalco, 83, of Syracuse, New York passed on March 6, 2026.

July 2, 1942 - March 6, 2026
Joe was born in Syracuse, NY, the beloved son of Nunzio and Antoinetta, an immigrant Italian/American family and the third youngest of four siblings. Two older sisters, Rose and Theresa are both deceased and the only surviving sister is the youngest, Nancy. From an early age Joe was a kindred spirit of independent mind. He had a deep sense of responsibility and love of family that were a source of strength and anguish throughout his life.
Joe enlisted in the U.S. Air Force October 1960. He was deployed to Ben Guier AB in Morocco, Africa for one year; two years in Viet Nam; and two years in Turkey. He reenlisted at the end of his tour to make the Service his career. He retired from USAF October 1980 and moved to Fort Walton Beach Florida initially in 1999. Lived in Alexandria, MN for two years and back to FWB, FL in 2008.
After receiving two Associate Degrees, he became a lab technician for the military as well as other private institutions until he formally retired.
He is survived by his sister Nancy who lives in Florida, and several nieces and nephews in Florida, Arizona and New York. His two children reside in Ohio.
Joe is remembered for his commitment to his Christian faith and his deep and unwavering care for people.
Joe contributed to his own obituary, and in his expressive style, “That’s all folks.”
