Augusta Wiggins Jr. 77, of Monroeville, Alabama passed on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
Augusta "Gus" Wiggins, Jr., passed away at his home in Pensacola Florida on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.
Gus was preceded in death by his parents Augusta Wiggins Sr. and Fannie Leslie Wiggins; two siblings Patricia Conner and John Felix Wiggins.
Gus is survived by his wife of 23 years Cynthia R. Wiggins, and their two children Vanity S. Wiggins, and Princestan S. Wiggins. Also, his son Darryl Augusta Wiggins (Temeka) from a previous marriage of 30 years to Bettie Jones Wiggins, and another son Justin McCall. Additionally, he leaves behind five grandchildren: Darryl and Azariah Wiggins, Kali, Kadence, and Sirr McCall, five siblings: Shirley McKenzie, Helen Marbury, Bessie Stanton, Carrie Britford (Bobby), and Sandra Smith, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Gus was born November 11, 1945 in Fountain, Alabama where he was raised and completed his secondary education. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Pensacola, Florida where he was employed by CSX Railroad until retirement. Gus enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football in his pastime. He was a member of Whole Truth Mission Church of God in Christ.
A Visitation will be held at Christian Family Funeral home located at 4020 North Davis Highway Pensacola, Florida 32503 on Friday, December 9, 2022, between the hours of 12:00 PM-5:00 PM. Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, 1:00 PM at Resthaven Gardens Cemetery located at 1084 Massachusetts Ave, Pensacola, FL 32505.
