Alfred "BOOM BOOM" Washington 73, of Pensacola, Florida passed on June 2, 2026.

Mr. Alfred Washington, 73, a resident of Pensacola, Fl. transitioned from this life on from this life on Tuesday June 2, 2026, at Vitas Healthcare Hospice in Pensacola, Fl.

Alfred was born on December 29, 1952, to Nathanill Washington and Ethel Mae Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his sisters, Rita Coleman, Cleartis Holt and 

Venita Washington: his brother, Nathaniel Holt: his sons, Brian Washington and Tony Washington: his daughter, Donnita Latrial Scharpon.

 

Alfred, often called by his nickname "Boom Boom" Washington, played for Pensacola Wings semi-professional football team during the fall of 1980. After his brief career as a football player, Alfred started a small business as a painting contractor and provided home improvements services for 30 years throughout the Gulf Coast area as "Washington Painting Contractor".

Grandchildren, Nicholas Haynes, Brittani Washington, Brianni Washington, Jaquel Howard, Jalisa Dale, Damian Powe, Alfred Washington III, Alfred L. Washington, Alyssa Washington, Mizell Washington, Zella Washington, Zander Washington, Jada Frye, Isaiah Frye, Raven Ramsey, Devante Jordan, Elizabeth Brown, Devin Brown, Jalissa Swain, Jerone Swain, Mykayla Jones. 

Mariyah Jones, Mehki Hunter, Zsariyah Broughton, Milan Broughton and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
